I can't figure out why people keep harping on Higgs not getting enough at bats.

In all seriousness, that was a master class at bat. I think he got to that inside pitch a hair late 4 times for foul balls in on his hands. And then he adjusted and wasn't late. That was a real battle type at bat that you don't always see out of strike out prone guys.
