Naw, they’ll take the Moncus Park approach. Bleed even red cent they can out of donors and patrons while in the honeymoon phase, only considering the now with no regards to sustainability.
Hopefully this post will be noted by MH folks and realize it’s not the way to do it.
I agree with Mullet - the intimate feel of the space. The experience in the chair backs on the 50 yd line vs the upper deck is night and day. Upper deck feels so isolated
His response is the reason nothing gets fixed. People have very clearly explained that it's not free vs paid. It's about an abundance of parking available and going unused inside the gates. It makes for a poor atmosphere and doesn't scream "come check out what's going on here".
I was hearing the opposite about the first few rows of the upper deck.
Some were calling them the best seats in the house.
Personally I would prefer it if no seating was visable from Congress. It would really cut down on preconceived notions about the games and attendance would go up.
Another point is that softball games have their traditions and chants that all of the fans participate in. The “K K K K CYAH” and the “RED, WHITE, WHITE, RED, RED…” are such fun cheers that everyone participates in. Trying to remember the chants we have for football that everyone participates in besides the “LOUISIANA FIRST DOWN”. Which ones am I missing?
