If we were to choose the Catahoula, I am 100% certain you would never see any reference to leopard. It is not required. The only people who would mention it would be our haters and those wanting to foment dissension. The same thing would be true if we chose Gators.

If we did choose Gators, I would be completely on board. I hope you would say the same if we choose Cataholuas.

Actually, not only did I make the Lafayette Leopard point earlier in this thread, but I made it several years ago in another mascot thread on this board.

On a personal note, on the surface I thought the Catahoula idea was a cool, but at the end of the day, a bad one.

While I think the idea of an alligator is a cool one, I don't like the idea of a white one.

In either event, I don't care which way we go.

I'm not one to hold my breath and stomp my feet if my preference isn't chosen.

I won't threaten to not renew my season tickets if I don't get my way.

A pair of Vermilion and White mascots would be perfect with complimentary changeable outfits for different skits.

I agree with 100%. Call them rouge and blanc. Just leave the albino part out. if you only go with one go with Rouge.
