There was so much outstanding response to the home jerseys with "Cajuns" that they got a red one and gray one to go with it.

In addition, the NIL jersey is the white fleur de lis, so they wear it at home on Friday.

We've worn the white Louisiana a couple of times.

There is no push to get away from Louisiana. But there is a push to go toward the other jerseys for the reasons stated above.

Any chance they make the red Cajuns script jersey the NIL one? They would sell tons of those.

When I went to Absolute Embroidery (who handle the NIL jerseys) I asked and I believe they said they're working on the licensing for that design but wouldn't be done for this season

A lot of those Russell Athletic templates were really rough back in the early 2000s (a few yrs after the CWS). You look at old pics and can instantly tell what era that was lol

Those script Cajuns unis are burned into most longtime Louisiana fans' brains due to the teams of the late 80's to early 90's. Papo and the boys set the bar.

I agree but addidas has thrown us some duds as well. One being the white uniform with stacked Ragin Cajuns on top of the big silhouette fleur des lis. Ugh

Addidas had some terrible templates for a good bit. And a lot of teams used them around the country.

Good question, wondering the same thing. Especially when we play the bad guys in BR and Lake Chuck.

Each team orders its own jersey. It is up to the coaches to decide what they order and wear. There is no mandate coming down from anyone higher up not to wear Louisiana. The trend started with the baseball team wearing the script Cajuns, and the reaction from fans was overwhelmingly positive. We are not going to have a red jersey with Cajuns and another red jersey with Louisiana.
