Oh really? In two games, Veillon is 3-7 (.429) with a homer and 5 rbi. His on base pct is .500. He is slugging .857 and has scored three runs.

In addition, he reached into the stands to turn a foul ball into an out and made a play in LF that was Sportscenter worthy.

Oh, and he's stolen two bases.

I could add my opinion about your post, but Veillon's performance speaks more loudly than I could.

I’m not Jay, but I think his answer would be no, while at the same time thinking “Absolutely awful. No excuse. No argument. Dude would stay at the hotel for the next two games. It’s that bad” is a ridiculous statement to most rationale people.

Veillion a fifth year senior getting picked off first base for the third out with bases loaded. Absolutely awful. No excuse. No argument. Dude would stay at the hotel for the next two games. It’s that bad.

So, I was upset with that play as well. All he does is homer is next at bat, then make an absolute awesome catch later in the game in left field.
