Do we really need to try and steal bases with one out, only to have him throw out and then the batter strikes out. With a man on second, trying to steal third. How many times did we get thrown out last night. Coach, in my opinion does not have faith in his batters. While it seems it’s 50-50 on stealing abase, I’d rather let things play out rather than gamble on stealing a base and getting an out, then shorting the inning. NO PATIENCE.
I keep hearing, Cajuns play aggressive baseball, but our aggressiveness is costing us extended inning and possibly more runs. This is frustrating.

And yet somehow we are 21-9.

1st inning: bases loaded and pitcher struggling to throw strikes. Runner gets picked off at 1st by catcher to end the inning.

2nd inning: 1 out double, runner gets thrown out trying to steal 3rd base. Next batter hits a double to centerfield wall.

Veillion a fifth year senior getting picked off first base for the third out with bases loaded. Absolutely awful. No excuse. No argument. Dude would stay at the hotel for the next two games. It’s that bad.

Oh really? In two games, Veillon is 3-7 (.429) with a homer and 5 rbi. His on base pct is .500. He is slugging .857 and has scored three runs.

In addition, he reached into the stands to turn a foul ball into an out and made a play in LF that was Sportscenter worthy.

Oh, and he's stolen two bases.

I could add my opinion about your post, but Veillon's performance speaks more loudly than I could.

You made a really good point earlier that we as fans only remember the bad outcomes. In this case it is abundantly clear.

No. Our inconsistency has resulted in enough losses that a 22-9 record still has us out of regional projections. That mistake happens down a run in the conference championship game and our season is over. Little things matter.

One regional projection has the Cajuns as a #3 seed in the BR regional. It is still way to early imo for projections.
