Gonna enjoy me some Bobby Neveaux talk, yeah.
Later tonight.
Melrock...Thanks for doing the podcast. Here are a few notes.
Last year, the Ragin' Cajuns were the only team from the Sunbelt in the field of 64. South Alabama was not there, Troy was not there, Texas State was not there. All four were there in 2021, but not 2022.
The Cajuns RPI is up from #12 to #10.
JMU is not a very good softball team. It will be a very long time before they'll be able to compete for a Sunbelt championship. Looking at statistics, they are not near the top in batting average, but, come in at #5 with a .278 average. They are at #9 in pitching with a 3.11 era and will need more than one good pitcher to make them competitive in the circle. They may be able to compete in the eastern division, but, if they were in the western division, they would have very little chance.
Finally, if Becky Clark does such a "great" job at South Alabama, why has her team lost the last 19 games they've played against the Cajuns? There's nothing great about that.
JMU just lost two of three to Georgia State.
