No i think they never threw strikes, hence the reason they were available. You dont all of a sudden become a strike thrower once u get into the portal. Worry less about spin rate and worry more about pitchability and you may find what you looking for. The majority of these dudes now are max effort guys so they can translate to the radar gun and spin rate. Blows my mind how far we have gone away from one of the best pitching systems in the game.

Our entire pitching staff are transfers? Because they all can’t throw strikes consistently.

If this was the idea that they would hit on a handful of these projects then you have to have faith in your pitching coach….
