Thread: Could NCAA Women's basketball over take NCAA men's basketball?

NCAA Could NCAA Women's basketball over take NCAA men's basketball?

I know what I saw tonight, and I know what I saw yesterday. And what I saw yesterday was a much more exciting brand of basketball. Is the men's game becoming too concerned about plain old athleticism & not taking care of the fundamentals like it should. The women were more fun for one simple reason. They could shoot. They had superior team execution on offense while still generating great defense. This season should serve as a wake up call to the men's game. If they don't start putting emphasis on ball handling & more half court offense The men's game could suffer at the hands of women's basketball. This is not new. It is a trend which has been going on for a while now.

I hate watching men’s basketball. They’re all giants and have hands the size of dinner plates, so it’s not really interesting to watch them score, they can just walk up to the rim. The way they dribble bothers me - they take three or four steps between dribbles and Don’t get called for traveling. Not a fun game to watch.

No. What you saw in the title game is an anomaly. 99% of womens AND mens games aren’t that fast paced with shots being made. Playing fast hurts most shooters & offenses while driving up turnovers. Don’t believe the media narrative they’re throwing out based on ticket prices. Those prices are solely based on arena/stadium size.

Nah it’s all bandwagon people. The same reason why half the people on here gave a ____ about TSAB womens basketball the past two weeks

Women's basketball can be just as bad. Go watch a women's game and watch them score six points in a quarter.

Having said that, the men's game is absolutely horrible. How can a team, playing for a national championship, go 11:08 without scoring a basket? I think it's because they are athletes and have very limited basketball skills. So, I'm with bandwagon king on this one. What he said is spot on and if you don't believe it, go watch a replay of last night's game.

No. That WBB game was a unicorn.

Put it this way. If you like seeing basketball when a single digit quarter is the common undoing of a team, WBB is your sport. It happens. A lot.

Pulled up the box score of South Carolina and UCLA from the tournament. UCLA scorched the nets for 7 points in the first and 8 in the second for a whopping 15 points in the half. Yes I know SC was great, but UCLA was a four seed.

But this is closer to reality of the abyss that exists between the few haves and the have nots in WBB.

But if you feel your path is correct, UL needs season ticket holders in WBB. That is, unless they allow free admission again this year.

Women's basketball is not overtaking men's basketball. Just stop this silliness right now. FFS.

As bad as that was. It was worse last night with San Diego State. A women's game has four quarters that each last 10 minutes. San Diego State went 11 minutes and 8 seconds without scoring a basket. So, they would have scored 0 points in a quarter if a men's game had four quarters.

As much as I wanted SDSU to win, knew it would be ugly. Watched Maine Cabin Masters with my wife. Credit points come football season.
