Thread: Planet Radio 106.7 FM & Ragin Review Announce Media Partnership

Apparently the rock and roll run from the 50s to mid 80’s has been passed by.

Then again, I listen to grunge going back even to classical.

If you’re a “Bluey” parent, you’ll like Gustav Holst, Planets, Jupiter. On my current playlist, along with Magic Slim and the Teardrops and other stuff.

Huh? The 80's gave us Alabama, George Strait, Bocephus, Reba, etc. etc.

The rise of Country started from its low point of the early 70's and continued all the way to the late 90's. People turned away from it after that due to Garth over-saturation.

Grunge replaced Hair bands, but Rock and Roll as a genre was ended by America's unfortunate obsession with Hip Hop.

TOP & The Doobie Bros are still going strong. ZZ was still doing ok but when you are a 3 man band and one of the three dies it kind of puts an end to that.

You could have stopped at the King. That’s all you needed to win that discussion.

I have to say the '90s was my least favorite genre. That doesn't mean I didn't like a LOT about the '90s. Things are relative.

Wasn't into grunge at all (wasn't into hair bands either.) But some great stuff came out of the '90s. Alanis Morrisette got mad, Matchbox 20 cranked up, Mr. Jones is one of the great songs of ANY decade and I could go on.

'60s were a time of change, '70s were kind of boring (too much soft rock), '80s were my favorite. But I find a lot to like in the 2000s and the 2010s too. I'm not into heavy rap, but there's a lot of hip hop that I like.

I guess I just like music.
