At the halfway point we are a better team than last year. Better pitching, better baserunning, better bullpen, better offense. But its just been a little inconsistent. We could be 4-5 games better in the win column

This week will tell how the rest of season plays out. Beat Tulane mid week and win the Marshall series on the road and we back on track.

I love Brennan as a person. He’s an old friend of mine. He needs to talk a lot less.

Dislike Breaux's style so much that you've gotta critique him in game threads he's not even calling while at the same time saying we are lucky to have Mr. talk down to the fans/dead air/no score updates? I guess it's true when they say, "there's no accounting for taste." Hell this new generation is running around screaming that Morgan Wallen is the greatest musician of all time.

When it comes to his play by play, I’m a big fan of Jay Walker. I think he is very good at what he does. I don’t necessarily agree with his public comments outside of calling games.

I’ve said before on this forum, I’m willing to give Brennan time, and I’m happy he’s involved as a notable baseball alumnus. He needs to learn to talk less. Dead air is ok in baseball. Mouton gets that, brazda doesn’t, Brennan hasn’t learned yet.

Dead air isn't the worst thing for a tv announcer where people can see the game. It should not be nearly as common as it is for our radio announcers. The listeners cannot see the game or the score. I can't count the times I've turned on a game to crickets and had to jack up my radio volume just to see if they were on the air.

That is a matter of taste, and I will respectfully disagree. My only beef with dead air on radio is production at Cajuns baseball needs to do a better job. Baseball crowd noise is euphoric. But they can’t even handle pre and post game interviews, so I guess it’s asking too much to get the levels right.

I like Mouton, but put me in what seems like the minority here on Breaux. I enjoy his analysis and insight into the game.

Brennan adds a lot. He brings the player's perspective the color guy is supposed to have, and he is smart and articulate.

If yall heard the pregame Deggs said he had 2-3 diff lineups written out. Then asked himself what would Robe do. So he went with a pitching and defense lineup. Outstanding decision

I don’t get the no score update part. Every half inning he gives the hits, runs, errors, and score going to break. And if some scores during the inning he says it’s now ___ score to ______ score. That’s pretty standard in baseball play by play. Not taking up for him just saying.
