LOUISIANA - The Louisiana men's tennis team remained the only team unbeaten in Sun Belt Conference play this spring with a 4-3 win over James Madison at Cajun Courts on Saturday. The Cajuns won their fifth straight match and improved to 4-0 overall in the conference.
The day opened with a closely contested doubles point but the Cajuns came out on top. Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez and William Ribero earned the win on court three, 6-4, for the first victory of the day. Kacper Dworak and ALejo Ferrer Chueca closed the point with a 7-5 win on court two, giving Louisiana the lead.
It didn't take long for the Cajuns to go up 2-0. Calin Postea needed roughly an hour for a straight set win on court five. The Dukes bounced back to tie the score with wins on courts two and three but Ribero's court six win put the Cajuns a win away from clinching.
