Louisiana Earns Draw at Mississippi State
Karleen Bedre scored an equalizer in the final minute and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Soccer team scored twice in the final three minutes to forge a 2-2 draw against Mississippi State on Saturday at the MSU Soccer Complex.
Louisiana, playing its fifth and final match of the spring, finished 2-1-2 overall and outscored its opponents, 10-5.
Trailing 2-0 in the 87th minute, Lucy Ortiz scored her first goal of the spring – and unassisted goal – to cut Mississippi State's lead to 2-1.
Bedre scored her third goal of the spring with under a minute to play in regulation when took in a pass from Ruthny Mathurin and scored past MSU's goalkeeper.
