Dang. We may never have another draw like this one was for us. We had a legit path to the Elite 8.

While I agree, we all know this is a game of matchups. The size and quickness of FAU’s guards were something the we lacked. They were able to get past Tennessee’s guards and take it to the basket. This is also what happens when you make just a few more open shots. While FAU struggled from 3 like us, they made the shots that we did not. They are a fun team to watch and I’m really looking forward to their game with K-State.

This. Their guards were mini-SFs. We don't have anything like that. And holy cow are they fast.

Since when do posters who are anti-big fish have to be knowledgable about basketball?

It isn't a requirement, but it helps. I could ask the same question of Big Fish supporters.

FAU has earned $1.5ish million so far this tournament

Fascinating part is that $$ is distributed to the conference. Nice going away present since they’re off to AAC.

When I was in athletics, those units were part of a rolling 6-yr distribution (ie the units earned in 2017 tournament are part of the calcs thru 2023).

Not sure if that’s still the case or if C-USA gets to count those units going forward if the school earning them is no longer in it.

The Golden Rule of college basketball:

Scoring threats from the Guard positions are the key to Tourney runs.
