Don't laugh too hard at age 71 and coaching. It permeates across Louisiana in the coaching ranks. Start in high school, work your way into a college gig. Hop state colleges if needed until retirement eligible. Nobody notices, nice retirement.

Besides, Saban is older than that.

I am applauding him! He is a funny guy. Look at his post game interview. He has his team dancing to the elite 8 while he dances to the Commodores. He uses the transfer portal with great success.

All that "BIG" NIL money, down the drain.

Was thinking that this morning. The senses of urgency to circle the wagons could become intense come Monday depending if they can keep UCONN and Texas in the mix.

I see several coaches on the women’s side want a stand alone contract for the women’s tournament, claiming they’d make more money. Do it.

If I heard right, the only #2 seed still in it fired their coach mid season.

Well, here we go…ACC commissioner wants other factors to be used besides the NET.

Okay. Well, Connolly has a couple of interesting ideas. More mid-majors get in but at the expense of more power conference teams. At least he is willing to consider factors other than the net.

You think for one second his suggestions will help everyone?

“Regardless, there are big and small ways to reward the mid-major universe for its contributions to what remains one of the greatest parties on the sports calendar. Who knows what that group could do with a few more merit-based seats at the table?”

The ACC commissioner has a point. Since the conferences are larger (more teams in a conference) they should have more teams in the tournament. But if this prevails there won’t be any room left for mid majors in a 64 field tournament. There would be room in a 96 field tournament.
