New lead off man FR Ben Robichaux had a weekend’s worth of quality ABs.

Jasckskn Nezuh taking a perfect game into the 7th. Ultimately allowing 1 hit and 1 run.

I think this team has shown some real potential. Obviously, consistency both at the plate and on the mound is still wanting, but I LOVE the positives we've seen so far at this point of the season.

Jay mentioned in his pre-season analysis that this team has DUDES, and I believe he's correct. There's definitely a core of water hose drinking alphas on the roster, and it shows. Maybe we're seeing a remaking of that 2013 team??

Which is why the whole scoreboard thing does baffle me a bit; however, "it is what it is", and I'll leave it to those who actually played college baseball to give their thoughts on that situation. I just want to see us win.

2 D1 projected regional teams (USA and Troy) got swept to open the conf season. A third (USM) lost a series. Coastal won 2 of 3. We were the only of the 5 projected to sweep. Granted, we played stAte, but take care of business when you are supposed to and weather the storm as the schedule gets tougher. Good start out of the gate.
