ULM is 16-10, has an RPI of 90 and a SOS of 128. The Warhawks are 4-6 vs Top 100 RPI, 6-3 vs RPI 101-200
GaSo has an RPI of 128 an a SOS of 88. The Eagles are 0-10 vs Top 100 RPI

The series is in Statesboro, so home field advantage to GaSo, but that 0-10 record vs Top 100 RPI is troubling. I think that the Eagles get their first Top 100 win, but ULM wins the series 2-1.

Marshall 23-3, has an RPI of 81 and a SOS of 256. The Herd are 1-1 vs Top 100 RPI
App is 15-6, has an RPI of 73 and a SOS of 156. The Mountaineers are 2-3 vs Top 100 RPI

The series is in Boone, and Marshall is 1-2 on the road. These are the first home games for App, and that 100 place gap in SOS is significant. App takes the series 2-1

The series is in Hattiesburg, where USM is 13-3; but there is too big of a SOS gap for that to be meaningful. Cajuns Sweep 3-0

Texas State is 18-9, has an RPI of 39 and a SOS of 47. The Bobcats are 9-8 vs Top 100 RPI and 2-0 on the road.
Troy is 19-7, has an RPI of 70 and a SOS of 136. The Trojans are 1-5 vs Top 100 RPI and 6-4 at home.

The series is in Troy, but the Trojans have not played well against good teams. Texas State is coming off 2 home losses to Texas Tech. Troy manages to get 1 win, but TxSt takes the series 2-1

The Chants are tough at home and that 110 place gap in SOS is significant. CCU sweeps at home. 3-0

South Alabama is 16-9, has an RPI of 80 and a SOS of 118. The Jaguars are 3-6 vs Top 100 RPI, 5-0 vs 201+ RPI and 7-3 at home.

There is too much RPI gap, too much SOS gap and too much Jaguars. South Alabama sweeps. 3-0

Like I said; my not-so-expert opinions. lol

When betting on horses, my father-in-law taught me that the best way to lose my money at the track was to bet on a horse with a gaudy record stepping up in class. "Bet the breed and not the speed". I feel like SOS is like the breeding and RPI is the speed. CCU has a big advantage in both and is playing at home.

I won't be shocked if CCU doesn't sweep, but I will be surprised.

I won't be shocked if App sweeps Marshall, either.

So far so good.

ULM takes 2 from GaSo 6-3 and 2-0. This is good for us. It adds 6 wins to our OR, which has a much greater impact than the 6 losses it adds to our OOR.

CCU beats JMU 3-2. This is a wash for us. It adds 3 wins and 3 losses to our OR.
