I might try and pick up tickets, should be plenty of good seats
Still some good ones but there ain't a ton left. Supposedly it's a pretty popular game when State plays there.
I assume we are in the 3rd base dugout as that's the "Visitors" side
In other games, I am currently watching Elon beating NC State 10-0; Elon is still batting with no one out in the top of the 2nd. No. 23 NC State.
Fun game to watch.
Mississippi State Bulldogs
12-5 overall | 9-3 Home | 3-2 Neutral | 0-0 Away | 66 RPI | 60 SOS
The Bulldogs are kind of a weird team:
They have losses to VMI, ULM and an average Ohio State team.
They have a series win over Arizona State, where they took 3 of 4 at Duty Noble.
They are currently on a 6 game winning streak, with wins over Cal, Nicholls, Valpo and a sweep of Lipscomb. 5 of those wins have come at home.
MSU has not played a single true road game. This will be their 6th neutral site game after they participated in the Frisco College Baseball Classic.
Dogs will start 2021 NJCAA 1st Team All-American transfer Colby Holcombe tonight vs the Cajuns. Sophomore RHP 6'6" 250 lbs.
2023 Season Stats:
W/L 0-0 | APP 6 | IP 6.0 | ERA 6.00 | H 3 | ER 4 | K 10 | BB 8 | OPP BA .130
Not sure who the Cajuns will start tonight, but if I had to guess I'd guess Ben Tate or Tommy Ray. We'll see.
I'm pretty sure he said Sam Hill will start with Tommy Ray second up

Interesting, I know that Hill's numbers in JUCO were pretty good, but he has thrown a total of 15 pitches for us including 1 walk and 1 double with an ERA of 99.99, because he has gotten not one single batter out vs Rice and has not thrown a pitch for us since that game.
The good news is that he started 20 games out of 23 at PRCC and was 8-3 with a 3.74 ERA with almost 11 K's per 9 innings in two seasons at PRCC. With that being said, Mississippi State is a little better than Itawamba, BRCC, Jones College, Hinds, Shelton State and the like.
