Agree 100%
There are WAY more available solid pitching choices this year than last. There’s still no true #1 starter, but there are a lot of options, and plenty of capable bullpen guys.
And the offense is good enough. Their only issue to this point is, as you pointed out, situational stuff.
And those things usually evens out after the ebbs and flows throughout the year.
One interesting thing about this years team is an over abundance of left handed bats. Normally teams have the opposite. There are a lot of LH hitters that deserve ABs. And not enough spots for them all. And when we face LHPs, the RH hitting reserves haven’t been getting it done.
They both wrote it. In fact it was written as a staff. Keep in mind Babb was on that staff also. He had been with Robe for a very long time at that point. He knew how Robe wanted to play. Tony could could control some of the outlandish knee jerk decisions we see today with personnel mives
I would like to congratulate Coach Deggs on reaching 10 years of sobriety when we played McNeese over there. I'm sure that is a tough road to travel and he has stuck to the course.
I had not heard about this until I read my latest Diamond Club email.
