Louisiana is an original D1 member.

The classification before that was higher lower something or another but Louisiana made the jump the very first year D1 was instituted.

Point of order, we REMAINED D-1A, didn't jump anywhere. McLeast and the rest of the SLC dropped to D-1AA.
