This is very misleading. Is it the entire band, or just basketball band?

Are we bringing 300 members to the tournament, because if we are that would be fantastic.

I assume it is just basketball band that we are bringing?”

And they deserve to go! They brought constant energy to each home game they played.

This is a big deal, I know in the past some of our conference mates haven't even brought their pep bands to the SBC tournament and our band has filled in for some of them to give it a college feel.

It looks small time if you don't have your pep band there, I am glad to hear that our "pep"
    band will be attending.

I know it is a small thing, but it is a good thing.

It's about time they got rid of those guys. Now maybe the band will stop playing eight bars of Give Em Cornbread by Beau Jacque and Zydeco High Rollers 30 times every football game.

I would love to do this gig, don’t have a masters though, I know people back in the day that graduated for music education that I would love see have the job. After being a band nerd for 16 yrs of my life.

We really need to jazz it up a little . We need to hire like the asst. band director for Southern or something, get someone that works at Ohio St. or Penn St.. or get big Scottie Walker from Lafayette High School he is even wearing a Ragin Cajun Hat. In an article I found on him.

We need a whole different music selection and outlook.

First off we need to recruit about 100 more members we need 70% brass and 30% woodwinds. That’s how bands in the SEC, Southern, LSU, Texas A&M sound so awesome.

Second we need something that provokes school pride like a fanfare. Like Notre Dame”Rakes of Mallard” or USC “Tribute to Troy’ . We got “Respect” that is one signature song we need more

Third off we need crowd pleasers we have to come up with awesome sounding stuff, and just new stuff play something different in the stands.

Scotty is my next-door neighbor. Great guy! He would make the POA the best band in the land!
