The game went exactly as I thought. High 50’s. Too many turnovers/empty possessions. Lazy passes and missed free throws. When we got open against their swarming defense we missed point blank shots. Shoulda coulda woulda. Ah well.
Half court offense was either out of control or everyone standing around. Technical foul was icing on the cake. We weren’t prepared and when Tennessee tried to gift us a win, we said no thanks. Thanks for a clean program, Bob. Can we move on?
Gotta give credit to channel ten for excellent post game coverage
Please
Marlin has had his issues over the years, there is no question.
But how in the world can anyone blame him for tonight’s loss?
His team played their asses off, that’s a HUGE positive for any coach in any sport.
His team, which was a top 20 in the country 3 point shooting team, had 6 wide open looks at 3 point shots in the first half tonight. And missed every one of them.
They played their butts off defensively, which is another sign of a well coached basketball team.
Fans always clamor for “halftime adjustments”. The Cajuns tonight looked like a completely different team in the second half and turned a blowout into a one possession game with less than 30 seconds to play.
Your two best 3 shooters combined to go 0-7 from the field and 0-2 from the FT line and you lost a game by 3 points to a team that spent some time ranked #1 in the country.
Think whatever you want about Bob Marlin, but thinking or saying that he was any part of a problem tonight is completely ridiculous.
