We stunk today but maybe pump the brakes. Pitching was good Wednesday, last night, and today. We have the guys on offense, they’ve put it together so far this year more than they haven’t. If we develop consistency we are a really good team. We stunk today but we don’t stink.
What kind of RPI hit is this?
So true. Had a feeling this was coming today after listening to the pregame Deggs interview.
I hope that we can move away from the RH lineup(s) vs LH pitchers and just play the guys that are productive at the plate. We had 3 guys in the lineup today that were batting under .200, but hit right handed, and it got worse today. Meanwhile…3 guys on the bench hitting over .330
But I understand these are the games where those things are supposed to figure themselves out. It’ll be interesting to see what the lineup looks like next weekend when conference play starts.
Meanwhile, Southeastern is beating a 12-1 Auburn team on the road by 5 in 9th.
Rumor has it that we aren’t going to use the scoreboard at all from now on. Too distracting to look at the score or count.
Well I hope guys like Taylor, Higgs and Amedee get a shot, regardless of whether the pitcher is a lefty, righty or shoots it out of his back side.
I love what Marusak has done defensively, and have no issue with him being in the lineup, but it’s a killer for your lead off hitter to have an OB% barely over .200. He needs to be in the 9 hole right now if he’s in the lineup.
Box score showed all runs earned going into the bottom of the ninth.
Posted last night High Point had to be confident losing by 2 with 6 errors.
When your best two wins is a Sunday sweep avoiding win over Campbell and a midweek retribution win over McLeast, makes you go hummmmm.
