If the Cajuns take care of business and stay around that top 16, hopefully the committee gives them the same courtesy as UCF for scheduling really hard.
Last year, UCF got the 16 seed with a tough schedule. They went 3-7 vs. the top 25. At least at the time of the game. Now they won a ton of other games including a bunch against tournament teams. But you get the picture. They didn’t rack up all these top 25 wins. They just played a hard schedule and won a few.
The Cajuns are currently 3-7 vs. top 25 at the time of the games. UCF has dropped off a lot so that stinks, but we have a few more chances left for top 25 or at least good RPI wins.
As usual. A boost from the conference is always welcome. We’ll see how that goes.
