“One Bid” league

if allegedly there are all these formulas, rankings, rpi, net, quadrants, etc to determine bids in the various sports, yet if a certain league still gets called a “one bid” league well before the season starts or even early on, is it safe to say we arent getting a fair shake and the data is only used when it is to the benefit of the powers that be?

No...standards are standards. No one in the SBC had BB schedules with enough quad one and two games..can't beat them if they aren't scheduled. It's no longer a question of your wins and losses as much as it is about who you beat as well as who they beat...educate yourself and watch the selection special and show Sunday...

heck they are probably saying the same for 2024-2030 before the students even enroll

Because schedules are released in October, it's easy to see then. Plus the larger conference schools, Big12, 10, ACC etc are all quad one teams/games. just having a home and away with your conference mates gives a school a chance. Look at the Big 10 this year, 9 teams are probably getting bids...All based on the recent stadards...

ahhh thanks, i didnt realize they knew the members of the quads ahead of time, didnt know it was based on being p5, thought it was based on the data measurements and a moving target not known when the schedules are made.

Except, yes. It is, and has forever been a self perpetuating system… slanted in favor of the teams and leagues everyone “assumes” is the best. And the money flows and follows and flows and on and on.
Do you think a Q1 or Q2 team is coming to Lafayette? Probably not.
