I believe there is a limit to the margin of victory standard. It may be something like 15 points. No bonus points for winning by more than that certain number.

There is no way that is a metric. Beating bad teams by a lot is expected. I'd have to imagine that comes into play with wins against Quad 1 and 2 teams.

Disregard? Wins against top teams has to be the driving factor

Mike, the WCC is Gonzaga and St. Mary's plus the equivalent of the Sun Belt. Gonzaga and St. Mary's get in by virtue of their non-conference schedules.

I asked if he thinks margin of victory is a primary factor over Quad wins. I've already made the case that it's not.

Gonzaga's basketball budget is equal to our athletic budget. All trips are on charter flights.

I see 7 top 50 teams on that schedule. Only 2 of the 7 were home games. Thanks for illustrating my point.

No doubt, they are a basketball school. Charter flights are a advantage, but early this season 5 out of the Top 10 ranked schools lost in the same week. All of them fly charter. It's just hard to beat quality opponents on the road period.

Oklahoma's Softball budget probably exceeds our football budget. I don't hear Glasco or any softball fans whining about lack of funding to schedule or get to games appropriate to earning at large bids. Don't hear it from Deggs or the baseball crowd, either, and they are pretty much in the same boat.

The SBC is a one bid league primarily because of the way every team in the conference schedules non conference games. Regardless of the reasons or excuses that are given, that is the absolute truth.

I made a truthful comment, and there was no complaining. I am sorry that is what you took from my comment.

I have no doubt that Gonzaga's basketball budget far exceeds ours, though the only numbers I found were at the site linked below, which showed them at slightly over $9 million for 2022.
