I found out today.
Take a look at Florida Atlantic. They played two power five schools. They got beat by Ole Miss to finish near the bottom and had a victory over Florida by two points. They won 31 games and are projected as an eight seed. Why are they projected so high? It’s because they beat the rest of their nonconference opponents like a drum. The only team in the field they beat is Northern Kentucky. That strength of victory evidently means a lot to the committee. By contrast, Charleston has almost the identical record and is projected as a 12.

I had to check the Google machine.
P5 wont play on road and if they do on occasion its with a peer P5.....therefore Road wins needs a much bigger weighting in the NET. True for football & baseball too.
Conversely Home wins need to count even less than they do now.
