This is the silliest schitt I’ve ever heard of. Whether it came from the players or coaches. Just silly.
Dyed hair. Beards. All silly ____ unless it builds a group mentality.
Last night I can confirm it was player name, position, class, and hometown. Along with the in-game previous at-bats box scoring plays. The pitchers info was Pitch Count Total, strikes thrown, and balls thrown.
It was the same for both home and visitor. Much better than showing erroneous batting averages. I also took advantage of grabbing the printed stat sheets after walking in, took 2 seconds and was enjoyable during the game to look at anytime I wanted.
I personally think people are making too much a deal about the scoreboard, but at least now that it’s been updated, it’s totally fine.
One of the unnoticed intricacies of the double squeeze is “big leaguing” it to first base… if the batter jogs to 1st, the fielder typically takes his time making the throw to 1st. If the batter/bunter is flying down the line, everything is sped up from a fielding perspective, giving the runner from 2nd slightly less time to make it home. Every little detail matters on a play like that, and Max was hauling ass down the line.
The captains asked for the stats to not be shown. For that I will back them.
No need to repeat what has already been stated.
It’s the pussification of America and we keep caving to their young minds.
