Pretty clean pitching after the 3rd. Pen was pretty lights out. The lefties out of the pen were very very good. Very Encouraging.

That came from Tommy Lasorda. He said everybody will win 50, everybody will lose 50 and it’s the other 62 that matter

In college, the 1/3 is a fairly good barometer. But a lot of teams won’t lose 1/3 of their games. And of course, many won’t win 1/3

It’s a suicide squeeze. Putting it in play is all that matters

It didn’t work because the second runner doesn’t have great speed and their 1st baseman made a good play.

He got rid of the ball quickly and made a perfect throw to the plate.

The players/captains asked that their updated stats not be shown on the scoreboard as they approach the plate. Nuff said. If it helps them focus on the next pitch, the team and not the stats, I'm all for it.

If our players/captains were focused on the scoreboard as they were approaching the plate, we’ve got big problems. It’ll be interesting to see how they handle what opposing crowds at places like USM have to throw at them if they are struggling with the adversity of…checks notes…the home scoreboard showing their stats.
