Really think UL will be fine. Texas State always plays slowdown basketball, Jags will play at a pace more to UL’s liking.

Does BiG FisH get a multi-year extension if we win? There will be a lot of scoring and experience to replace with Jordan Brown, Lewis, Williams leaving. Have we recruited anyone to replace the above mentioned? GEAUX CAJUNS

The Bad - Marlins lack of adjustments to the zone
The Ugly - our PG play was atrocious

Both our PG will have to step up their game tomorrow.

Fulks ball handling was really poor in the first half, but this was not his usual effort. He is a good point guard and I believe he will play better tonight. Thomas is not the same as Fulks but played OK (not outstanding) for most of his minutes. Fulks played a little better when he came back in the 2nd half. Some of the turnovers in the 1st half were unforced, just poor ball handling. I thought JB played better in the 2nd half but the TS big helped keep him in check in the 1st. Defense was good (as stated above) but it made the game seem ugly. Our guys shot pretty well in the 1st half but the TS defense really affected us in the 2nd half.

I like to win! Hopefully what will happen again tonight, but we have to play a little better because (IMO) USA is much better than Texas State.

The 1-3-1 zone gave us real trouble in the 2nd. Our 3 pt shooters haven't been hot lately. Dalcourt seems to be our best at this point in the season....I expect to see more mins for him if USA zones us. We have to figure something out defending 6'1 guard Isiah Moore. Dude is uncanny in the paint.

Very good point. Harrell especially, it was his last game. Dude played like there was no tomorrow the second half. Texas State has been good for years at dictating pace, this was nothing new or unexpected. UL just needed to match the pace and pounce when those opportunities opened up.

Blown layup and missing 2 FT's. He has a flat shot to begin with, but the 2 he missed were the worse I've seen this season. He did redeem himself later, thank goodness.

It would be nice to see Garnett get more touches. I think he only had about 3 shots last night. Set up plays to free him up. He is our best 3 point shooter.
