This was not elite pitching. They did not throw their ace. They threw their number two and their number three.

Still couldn’t hit them…that’s not good news.

Offense has not been as hope so far, but we've seen some elite pitching too.

Where is our elite pitching? These close losses aren't helping out our resume to host a regional. Hopefully they best Texas the 2nd time. Record against top 25 is 2 and ....

Against the Cajuns, FSU did not start their elite pitcher. Oklahoma State did not start their elite pitcher. Arkansas did not start their elite pitcher. UCLA did not start their elite pitcher.

Kind of the point, teams that make OKC more often than not have more than one elite pitcher. Cajuns had that the Covid shutdown year.

Sounds like we aren't quite there yet. Aren't we really young this year?

Against Texas last night, three freshmen, five sophomores in the field. I guess you call that young.

We had a team that year. Before the shut down I think we had close to the #1 RPI. Understanding that it was March, but that team was winning. Like 5 top 10 wins, right? Summer and Kleist were the pitchers?

They were well on the way to a top 8. Certainly a season thar got away.

While Arkansas and UCLA did not start, their number one pitcher, both teams were forced by the Cajuns offense to bring in their aces in the middle of those games in order to secure a victory. Oklahoma State not only started their best pitcher Kelly Maxwell, she is widely, regarded as the best pitcher in college softball right now and the Cajuns, scored two runs on her. Also on Friday night Texas started who they consider to be their ace, the transfer from Arizona State. She led the Longhorns in innings pitched and was 4-0 before Friday night.
