Perhaps they could use the former location for the car show before they started using Cajun field

Or, maybe I realize that having an empty parking lot not being used for the majority of the year brings in revenue. But since you seem to think you’re the end all when it comes to the university, why don’t you stroll into the office of president of the university and tell him what an idiot he is for not valuing the situation as you see it.
Or, get on your little podcast and rant about it.

After your meeting, make sure you report back here the results.

I think this dismay some posters have of the low cost of renting out prime property for Mardi Gras/Car Shows comes from a place of always being told how poor we are as an athletic department. I think if we weren't always told "we don't have money for that" or "the money tree is gone" and we see UL-owned property being rented out dirt cheap, it just doesn't make sense.

That was the Optimus club and it was for charity. The money was used for projects in the community.

    Have a question.
What is your valuation for the university when the Optimist club sold Christmas trees on the Cajun Field lot?

UL definitely need to charge more. Wow. It’s basically giving it to them free based on what it costs to actually go to those festivals. It’s costs Hundreds of dollars for a family of 4 to go to those festivals.
