We are not out of it.
We are not out of it.
I hear you, but I’d somewhat disagree. I think BYU had some very solid arms. Rice is more of a question mark. BYU though has been mentioned in more a few of the college baseball podcasts and articles preseason as a potential regional team with good returning talent. And they also held La Tech’s offense down pretty well for the most part. Granted we have no way of knowing how good Tech is this year.
However, just by the eye test, this year’s team is smacking the ball around the yard with power. And we couldn’t say that this early last year regardless of the pitching talent across the diamond.
The fellas didn’t seem ready to play tonight. It’s an early season road loss to an in-state team we see every year. I’m not worried about the team. What I am worried about is the effect this could have on RPI down the road. If McNeese ends up in the top 100 then not a big deal. If they end up somewhere around 200 or worse then this loss hurts even more.
Hopefully we just make a comeback in the 9th.
5 to 3 pokes

Sounded like Debarge was inches from tying it up.
We came around a little too late. Oh well get ready for Campbell
It’s baseball. It happens. We were that close to winning a mid week game. Let’s go win this series vs a great Campbell team.
I'll give the team some credit on fighting to the last out. With that said, got to play the full 9 innings.
Did someone's dog die?
These midweek trap games, though. Never liked them.
