Meghan pitched really well and Sam came in and did a good job. Good win. This would have been a tough one to lose. Alexa shook off costly error and got game winning hit.
I’m with you. Character building games. You just need to be on the right side of as many of those as you can.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say we got away with one tonight, but we got close.
These SEC wins are critical. Letting that one slip away after really holding OM in check would have really stung. Almost makes you appreciate it a bit more after seeing it almost get away from you.
Plus, pretty much everyone played at one point. Crazy deep roster.
Believe they used 8 Fr and Soph’s to beat an SEC team. Not many programs could do that.
Was happy to see Landry bounce back. She got a quick hook against LSU yesterday (probably right move), and she really stepped up in a crucial spot.
In this day and age, virtually impossible to keep that many young players together, but if Glasco can, they have something brewing.
Another big few games, peppered in with some not so good ones. According to D1 Softball we have the #20 RPI in the country, so the plan by Glasgo is working.
We have McNeese twice coming up to bookend end the Texas tournament, they are currently the #62 RPI team in the country with an 10-5 record, but they have 2 good wins over UNT and Washington.
Texas has an RPI of #18, with an 11-2-1 record and we play them twice.
The other two games are not going to help much, we face Tennessee State (RPI of 237) and Princeton an RPI of 270 as well.
Let's go get 6 wins and make those McNeese and Texas games count.
