NEW ORLEANS – Jordan Brown and Greg Williams Jr. were named to the All-Sun Belt Conference team the league announced Monday. Brown, the Preseason Player of the Year, was named to the league's first team while Williams earned his spot on the second team.

Jordan on first team and Greg on second team is what I expected going into last weekend. Not surprised my expectations came to be. Jordan not getting player of year is somewhat surprising. Kinsey did have a great year for Marshall however. Voters may have penalized Jordan for his inconsistent FT shooting. Maybe that gives him motivation for tournament.

….when Ron Guidry was inducted into the U L H of F…..he said that sports writers said that if they would have waited till after the World Series, their vote would have been for him as the MVP….he did Get the Cy Young…..wondering if final all conference votes should be after the tourney !

I'm probably a bit biased but Jordan Brown should have been player of the year. Not to take anything away from the young man that won but Brown is the best player in the SBC.
