Eli Ortego recorded a 2-under-par 70 while freshman Malan Potgieter finished at 1-under-71 to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team during the opening day of the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate on Monday at the Reflection Bay Golf Club.
I wonder what the story is behind us co-hosting the tournament with Arkansas state in Las Vegas????
Eli Ortego and Matt Weber each posted rounds below par to move into the top-10 in the individual standings and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team finished up the second day of the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate on Tuesday in a sixth-place tie at the Reflection Bay Golf Club.
Nice to be in the top half of the field going into day 3.
Malan Potgieter posted a final round score of even-par 72 and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team wrapped up play in the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate on Wednesday at the Reflection Bay Golf Club.
Yes, and a finish in the top 25% would be real nice.
Naw….12th out of 15. UL had the worst team round the last day.

I would imagine if this program doesn’t have a good fundraiser, it ceases to exist.
College golf is becoming more like tennis in that you have to look more and more internationally.
Finding someone to do Theo’s job at the price UL will pay is a challenge to say the least. With that said, knowing Theo from back when he was in school a little, the flight home (that he had to fundraise for) was probably not pleasant.
Throw in some bucks and we can compete.
