Thread: 7 games in

    UL Baseball 7 games in

The first 7 games in and this team certainly has some promise. Dare I say it, but the offense has some similarities to 2014. These guys can hit up and down the lineup. The attitude, the moxie, even the physical size of these guys is imposing. The scary part is we aren’t even firing on all cylinders yet. The pitching we have faced is not the best, but we are doing what we should against mostly average arms, IMO. How about that absolute laser Brock hit to dead center? That was all muscle. Zambo and Stelly are dudes. Team speed is better than most.

The pitching staff has been getting good results despite all the walks. There is no way we have continued success walking the number of hitters we have thus far. Clean that up and we are in good shape. If we have a guy step
up into a true Friday night type of arm, we become dangerous. Marshall looks like a shutdown back end guy.

The defense has been solid. A couple of early season miscues but overall, they seem good.

Base running has been in true Deggs fashion…aggressive. This isn’t going anywhere. I can’t say I love getting picked off of first base twice a weekend but this style isn’t going anywhere.

It is still early, but I haven’t been this excited through 2 series in a long time.

That bomb late in the game by Veillon reminded me of the one he hit last year in the SBC Conference tournament. Man that guy swings hard. When he hits a HR, you know it immediately.

Damn accurate analysis ! Your correct that they have similarities to 2014. Our young pitchers are everything Deggs. AGGRESSIVE. The issues I see can be fixed with practice and experiences. BUCKLE UP!. It's going to be one hell of a ride.

Amazing what happens when you let the 3rd hitting coach go .

I'll stop short of comparing them to 2014 but they're showing promise.

Biggest takeaway from this week is you found 4 different ways to win 4 different games.

That is the most exciting thing to me.

….We have seen so many absolute rockets to Center through the years only to be caught deep…..but this blast by Brock was one to remember!

Nope. Good all testosterone and roids.. Joking of course because we were actually accused of that back in 2014. Manufactured by lspoop

Here is the good news for this team.

Trey lafleur is not going to bat .000 which he is now.

Max marusak is not gonna hit .120 which he is now.

Rocco is not gonna hit .238 which he is now

Will veillon will probably hit better than .238 which he is now.

If these guys get going watch out. Because the other guys are crushing it so far.
