Great game last night. Awesome comeback and Marshall striking out all 5 he faced was a beautiful thing to see.
I had friends from Atlanta at the game with me and walking into the park and seeing our facilities really impressed them. Unfortunately, the initial excitement wore off quick and I was bummed out that they had to experience these issues at the Tigue:
1) Waiting over 30 minutes (2.5 innings) to get ONE hot dog from the concession stand. He ordered the "loaded hotdog". Not sure if "loaded" makes it take an extra 30 minutes, but that is unacceptable. It was a regular hot dog with chili & jalapenos on it which shouldn't have taken so long (see attached message).
2) I know it's been said, but worth repeating, the speakers needs to be fixed. Do they not give these things a test drive before the season starts?
3) The scorecards they give when entering the park were formatted incorrectly for our team. Some players numbers were not next to their names, weird spacing, alignment issues, etc. Yes, its not a major issue, but it just looked like amateur hour (see attached photo). Not reviewing text before printing thousands of copies is either laziness or just not caring.
The concession stand issue is embarrassing, takes away from the experience and needs to be addressed ASAP. #2 and #3 are not really big issues and should be easy fixes.
Wow.....I'm glad I went to the Basketball game!
Must have been Amature Night at the Tigue last night...
Imagine printing those scorecards and then saying, “Yeah those look fine. Let’s just hand them out like that.” The little things add up. We don’t have enough people who take pride in putting out a good product. What an embarrassment
Also, not stadium related but:
If you bring kids to the game and give them a device that has the volume all the way up, that right there is some bullsheet!! Put that thing on mute or bring them headphones.
I don't mind them being kids, running around, playing, talking, etc., but when they are master blasting video games 12 inches from my ear and I can't hear anything else, I am not really sure how to handle that situation. Have some respect for the people around you who are there to watch the game.
...and no, I can't just move a few seats down because this is in the Supreme Rice Field Club area and there are no extra seats to relocate.
See y'all at the Tigue again tonight.
GEAUX CAJUNS!
Certain people with kids are entitled to everything they think.
This is why we are referred to as "Little Brother" by the folks to the east of us. When you can't even put on a positive fan experience for a home opener for baseball, something is terribly wrong. This isn't rocket science. I'm calling BS on the "first timers" for last night's game in the press box. Weak excuse. Fix this schitt or people are gonna start bailing. As it is $450.00 for a frickin wrist band for the stadium club is flat out stealing. You get absolutely nothing for it. Worse deal in the entire athletic department but yet people pay to "support" the program. We're a long way from being big time folks.
