You realize who our state school is right? The only time they will play us is in a secret scrimmage. I have heard that the relationship will get better under their new coach but I seriously doubt they will ever come to the dome. Not sure how south Alabama has gotten auburn and Alabama in back to back years. That is certainly not the norm for mid majors. You guys have the connections to ask the questions to the right people. I only know what I’ve heard from a few insiders and all they have told me is that schools straight up refuse to play us. Especially at our gym.

South Alabama played 2 for 1’s to get high profile teams to come to their place.

The great majority of schools in the SBC played 3 non D1 schools. That is a problem therefore the new rule mandating a certain number of D1 home games. Turns out Samford was a decent out of conference home opponent as last time I checked they were 16 and 2 in their league. Hopefully we get more than 1 of those in future.

I'm not Mike, but here is a decent explanation.

Quadrant one wins are those home games vs. teams RPI ranked 1-30, neutral games vs. 1-50, and away games vs. 1–75. For example, a home win against a top 30 team would qualify as a quadrant one victory.

A Quadrant 2 win are those at Home against the RPI 31–75, neutral 51–100, and away victories over the RPI 76–135.
