When interviewed just a few days before the team lost 3 out of 4, there was no "3 days in March talk," now was there? Oh no, when it looked clear (as it should, based on this roster) that we would win a regular season title, it was all about "we want to win it all." Now that's quite the change, isn't it?

So if the goal is to win it all, (regular season title and get to the NCAAs) and we do neither, but end up in the NIT, by the coach's own words, is that not a failing to meet your goal?

I'll save you the trouble: It is. And it will be received as such by the few people that still care to give a ____ about MBB in this town. That's not the fans fault; That's the fault of the people in charge and the coach happens to be one of those people.
    Oh, you poor soul.

You can say you want to win it all. You can say you don't. And, when you say it does nothing to change the scenario.

It's all about three days in March to you...and to others. But go ahead and get butt hurt when Coach says it.

Telling fans they're "butt hurt." Many years of talking ____ to fans on this site and it still amazes me when you get away with it. I'll never understand that.

I was never one of the fans in the beginning the agreed with "3 days in March." It's on RP to see, if you care to do the research. However, THIRTEEN YEARS of running this program should net our fans better than "welp, hope we make the NIT." In year 3? Fine. NIT is one thing. In year 13? Absolutely not.

I don't expect my kids to do calculous at 5, but they better be able to do it by 18. This is not hard to figure out, for people that don't have a vested interest in keeping the current coach installed.

So it's all about three days in March....except when it suits you to say otherwise. My apologies.

I didn't call fans "butt hurt." That was for you.

You said fans were "butt hurt" multiple times. And I'm a fan, jackass.

It's called common freaking sense. Again, for people that can think outside of their bias, it's not hard.

    You're a fan
Who thinks he's the smartest person on the board.
Who thinks it's ok to go on social media (not necessarily this board) and rip into people who you perceive have crossed you.

I know very very well who you are. And, what you are.

    Good talk. Carry on.

"What" I am is a paying customer, willing donor and alumni, whom people like you should be thrilled still gives half a ____ a bout a place that can't get out of it's own way 90% of the time.

The Voice of the Cajuns, Director of Media Operations for Athletics and life long symbol of UL going on to social media talking politics, ripping the President, talking down to fans, shamefully schilling for University administrators (who were and are clearly derelict) breaking multiple "policy" directives at 1420, Leirfeild, etc... What a world we live in.

You've had 30+ years of telling us who you are. I'm sorry I didn't listen earlier.

And if you really want to get this thing started, comment on my intelligence again.

Y'all over here fighting over semantics. Here's the reality.

There's only one way to get into the NCAA tournament, and its to win the conference tournament.

But the best way to set yourself up to win the conference tournament is to play well for the entire season, getting experience and a good seed.

So its not ONLY about 3 days in March. It CULMINATES WITH 3 days in March.

The same concept applies to basketball of all levels that end in a tournament. Even the NBA.

    Not rocket science.

It's a shame you two are fighting. Hope you guys can get on the same page and resolve things amicably; it's good for the fanbase.

Y'all need to hash it out over some Angels Envy or Adopted Dog Brews.

We all know that. People like Jay, who back Marlin at all cost, see their extension slipping away and they can't help but fight their way out of a corner. They do that by dragging out and manipulating past narratives that don't even make sense.
