    Are you not entertained?

After skimming through most of this, I still think the program has plateaued under Coach Marlin. The "3 Days in March" thing is him saying that's our only ticket to the NCAA Tournament because the Sun Belt is a one bid league. However, while the NCAA is the standard to work towards it's not the end all in regards to if a season is successful. NIT is just like any bowl game that's not in the playoff. It's extra practice & more time on the court to build towards the next season while getting a nice payout.

The problem with "3 Days in March" is that it is a problem and crutch if all SBC coaches surrender to that mindset. Scheduling then reflects that mantra and the conference doesn't progress beyond a 1-bid league. I hope the scheduling rule changes and initiatives coming from the league office change things for the conference sooner than later.

    Exactly. It creates COMPLACENCY.

The issue isn’t whether the coaches surrendered to that mindset, but it’s obvious majority of the SBC leadership (presidents) have.

This MAC crossover series does absolutely nothing except add games with a fellow one bid conference, further solidifying both conferences’ status.

Yes I rather see a h/h with a MAC team instead of a D2 team. Being the situation with Coach Marlin is in a new contract situation if the administration opts to retain him, hopefully the base is greatly cut and the contract is heavily incentivized.

Until EVERY SBC program gets on board, the entire league is playing for the tournament championship. And even then, it would take years to erase the present perceptions.

So win the regular Season Championship or SBC tournament. Anything else Marlin is let go immediately.

A decent part of the fanbase, outside of the Rebounders Club members, think Bob should have to win some kind of title to keep his job. Unfortunately, and this is just my opinion, the administration's standard is not as high. That sets up a scary scenario if this team doesn't get the job done and Bob is retained. Most people realize next year's squad is gonna take a significant step backwards losing our three best players. Four years of mediocrity with the payoff being a team that doesn't win a title and then returns to mediocrity would be pretty unappealing to most fanbases. I would venture to guess you'll see some crowds like last night's, and it won't be because of late games, other sport conflicts, or holidays.

There were more people willing to sit out at The Tigue on a Wednesday Night in the rain than to watch a 22-7 team indoors try to win a Conference Championship. Tells you all you need to know.

When Marlin says it's about three days in March he should know. He & his colleagues made it that way.

In some ways that game reminds me of our home football game against MTSU the week after a fantastic comeback win against Houston. Both were statement games, both made the wrong statement.

I told you guys when this all started that this would be a 7 loss or less team and I stand by that as it will be fact after tonight.. I still believe we go to the big dance, and I still believe without injury that we have the pieces to get to da 16 and we will see what happens .

    We are LOUISIANA

    PS : X factor ( Dalcourt and Kobe )
