Well the basketball game on espn2 game was recently elevated to national tv. So i imagine the decision to not do plus for baseball was bc they would be doing basketball that night. Just a guess

The equipment has to be at the Cajundome for the women's game at 5. By contract, all men's and women's games have to be broadcasted.

Technology has advanced so far and price of equipment has dropped so low, with software becoming so capable, that "cost of broadcasting" is a non factor.

The only issue is someone viewing it as "work."

Equipment and likely staff as well. One set up. If we have conflicts with conference games they will bring in an outside production company, which could be costly
