I'm not necessarily saying we do. I'm saying even when our guys don't seem to have their good stuff, they still come after hitters. You can't walk 6 and expect to be successful. Rice scored nothing... nothing on 6 walks from McGehee. I'm not sure i've ever seen that.

With only 4 years to develop talent before departure there have always been soft spots on most teams.

The one ones that don't have a soft spot are called Dream Teams.

The portal has made 4-year development an even bigger hurdle.

I do agree that it's concerning not to have a "dude" on the staff. Maybe someone reveals themselves like Bonds did last year. But right now, not sure that dominant arm exists right now.

He has some compete. He's is a good arm but does not have good enough stuff to dominate another team on friday nights.
