I can understand the frustration with the broadcast. Note we had 2 people that normally don’t do it as Jay is in Clearwater. I wonder if the equipment they use across all sports are the same make/model?

Either way, it appears they need to perfect step by step procedures to explain how to set up the broadcast so plain and simple that an 8th grader with no experience could do it.

The radio broadcast was on a different level of horrible. No Pregame, no postgame and the quality of sound on the broadcast was severely lacking. Sounded like Dan McDonald was calling the game from the inside of a trash can. Brutal. Heads should roll over the consistent inconsistencies. Not a good look at all.

Its comical how many technical difficulties this broadcast has year in year out

If the tech was on par with broadcast talent, there would be no complaints. I am sure they are frustrated too.

Funny thing, I was listening to the softball broadcast Friday night on 1420 AM from my car radio in New Iberia. It sounded great. The best reception I have heard in years for a RC broadcast. I was wondering if they had new mics or equipment. Also, I thought 1420 AM powered down at sunset. I guess the sound waves were in perfect alignment.

AM signals bounce and under the right conditions can go far beyond their intended audience.

FM signals are "line of sight" only, so tall towers and high power matters.
