Louisiana would have never been able to sign Brian Mitchell without that 1985 schedule.

Yes, when they formed in 1975, that was true. They later replaced departing schools with the likes of a young Virginia Tech and Southern Miss. It was around this time we were supposed to be added.

Charter means starter it does not mean required.

Initial description does not mean future prerequisite.

Texas and Oklahoma certainly don't fit the south EASTERN charter, but they still fit.
