They (247) just re-rated (or rated) some of our players. Jayroe's original rating wasn't particularly favorable. Now he's an 84.

It was Xavier Brown that was finally rated. He had no ranking when he signed. Jayroe was rated a 3 Star.

I just finished watching a you tube video of Patrick Mahomes recruiting situation in Texas. It seems he wasn't good enough for any of the Texas schools except Tech the only ones who offered him although he was voted the best player in the state of Texas & had just won the state title his senior year. When I see a situation like the Arch Manning versus Dwayne Winnfield one, my faith in the stupidity of the whole recruiting system is ultimately restored. I don't care what anyone's rankings say. When you get the best player in the state of Louisiana to come to your school, you should be at or near the top of your ranking system. If you aren't then you throw the whole thing in the trash can.

Ditto Patrick. Now you know how the best QB in NFL history ended up having his past littered with moronic tripe about how BAD his mechanics were, etc. etc. etc. by so called self styled "experts". I'm not against the recruiting services as a tool. But many times they prove to be nothing more than tools.
