Thats the story of the game. It just didnt go in the hole in the second half. Im not a huge basketball fan but ill say this…the effort was there, it just didnt go our way. Atmosphere for a sunbelt basketball game was thru the roof. We could only dream of a break away dunk, in the dome, with a crowd of 8,000 people, at that point of the game.

When the team is rolling, "Bob's coaching em up." When the team loses, "Bob didn't miss all those shots." I'm gonna bet there's a middle ground somewhere.

sometimes basketball is very simple. We couldnt make shots in the 2nd half and couldnt stop them from making shots. thats the ball game in a nut shell. I feel its was a well played game all around by players and coaches. hope USM drops one somewhere. on to the next game.

Good point. If roles were reversed & we were the home team with a sellout backing our team, we’d be touting our environment for having significant impact, etc.

Can’t always have it play out to our favor and never expect our teams to be affected.

Defense was atrocious in the second half. That’s on coaching. We dribbled way too much and was too predictable on offense also in the second half. We did miss wide open shots too

We would have beat them there 10 games ago and won in the dome tonight. But circumstances played a factor. They were jacked

We went away from the inside out game in the second half. Was a lot of high screens for fulks and him driving. Looked like a big fish adjustment.

Agreed! With the Belt being a 1 bid league if you’re going to have an off night shooting, etc … better now than in the conference tournament!! Time to finish strong.

Tough to win, especially in a hostile environment, when you can’t score and struggle defensively. Yet, we got it to within 5 points under 3:00 to play.

Pick yourself up from your bootstraps and get ready for Troy. We will have our shot vs. Southern Miss in the Tournament Final.
