In this portal/NIL world, pulling off team first is a credit to the players and staff.

    Hope that’s not a jinx.
Saw Vinny in a boot Saturday night. Doesn’t affect depth.

That was a loss coached by Bob, and the next game wasn’t as he was not available. Believe that the assistant coach went on to coach one of the Mississippi P5 teams this season along with Theo.

Your point about Oliver Houston is a good one. We actually had this conversation on the pod when he was hired.

As far as the PG position, Fulks has really made a difference and I've been impressed with is defensive improvement. How do we feel about MT in the backup role?
MT will be needed come tourney time. every minute he gets in the regular season is critical, and his confidence needs to continue growing. at some point between tired legs, foul trouble, or a bad night, Fulks will need a big time support effort without taking away a current key role. For now, Fulks is the key to this team that cant really miss a beat or we might get beat. MT can change that.

MT with his very high free throw percentage will be critical to win soon

My only thing with him is he seems to pick up his dribble when he gets in a tight spot. I'd like to see him work through traps more often too.
Or not get into traps in the first place

Neat story. I sat down in my seat and when Marshall came out for warm-ups, someone in front of me yelled, " GO HERD!". I look and it's a family and a grandfather there. They all have green on except the dad, that had a Herd cap with a red sweater. I lean forward and ask if they know one of the players. He says, no, I'm actually from Lafayette and got a degree from both UL and Marshall. Wow! I said, I bet you never dreamed back then that you'd be here watching this game with your two Alma maters playing each other in the same conference. He says, never in a million years....I feel like the luckiest guy in the building!

I met that guy in the concession area. I was double fisting with 2 dome foams and he held the door open for me. I said “green and red huh?” He told me the same thing he told you. Pretty cool.

Best fan story of the week by far. ^

The Russell Heim story needs to be a documentary.
