No. Mid majors from the Deep South don't get at large bids. I should say very rarely rather than never. The blowout loss to Texas eliminated any possibility of that. Note, the USM folks are really pushing Thursday's game. Their fans on social media are very confident. We will face the most hostile road environment to date.

I recognize that this is most likely Marlins most complete team. They are really good. I’m enjoying this season.

I’m dreading the future because history will repeat itself.

I’ll just keep watching on TV.

Yep, losing top 3 starters. Back to mediocrity next year.

    If you watch on TV, you can’t post here . . . so I hear . . .

That could very well happen. However, who knows what type players recruiting efforts will yield. Themus Fulks is an outstanding point guard and he was not brought in until April. Terrance Lewis the 2nd is a nice inside compliment to Jordan Brown and he did not join the program until August. I would say next season is a complete unknown vs automatically saying it will be a struggle. For now, let's just enjoy the efforts of the current group. As Greg Williams Jr. said in post game last night, the job is not done.

Nope. SBC is a one bid league.

I am enjoying this season, reminds of the good ole days somewhat. However, a 13 year track record tends to tell us next year will more than likely be mediocre. It would be refreshing to have two good years in a row, but am not optimistic.

Barring a total collapse Marlin will have earned his extension. I don’t harbor any ill will or intent. The question is can repeated success be sustainable. It hasn’t proven to be so far in his tenure.

Let’s just enjoy this team and hope they achieve to the level they are capable of achieving.
