    Default Radio coverage update(s)

Just trying to keep you guys informed as to how to find what you're looking for over the next few weeks.

There will be a couple of nights where baseball and men's basketball will be playing at the same time. Both normally use KPEL-FM on the weekends. If there is a conflict, baseball will move to Classic Rock 105.1, while hoops stays on 96.5.

You'll see a slight change in baseball coverage. With the Jambalaya Shoppe closed, Brad Topham won't be traveling as much. We've decided, for consistency's sake, to have Brad in the booth for home games (and with 34 home games, that's a lot of Brad). Our analyst on the road will be a guy named Anthony Babineaux who has a bit of baseball knowledge in his own right.

We have the weekend from hell right around the corner. It happens to be the weekend before Mardi Gras. We have four sports going on and all of them are on the road. Cody Junot is taking his kids to see the mouse and Top is unavailable because of Mardi Gras commitments.

    So, we gotta get creative.

Softball is headed to Clearwater for that outstanding tournament. I don't have anyone who I can send on the road for eight days (Wednesday to Ash Wednesday.) So, I'll be traveling with the women and will broadcast softball with Bobby Neveaux. I'll get an early flight out Wednesday morning so I can be home in time for baseball's home opener vs. BYU.

Women's basketball is at ULM/Arkansas State. Steve's bosses cleared those dates for us (Thanks Walter and Hollis) so he will travel with the women Thursday and Saturday.

Men's basketball is home vs. ULM Thursday and at James Madison on Saturday. Ian will handle those broadcasts (mbkb is chartering to JMU, which will make it a lot easier on Ian with his duties on WWL.)

That leaves baseball. We're fortunate that with everything out of town, there are no ESPN+ telecasts to worry about (except mbkb vs. ULM.) That will free Dan McDonald to join Bab for the series vs. Rice. Very grateful to Dan for helping out.

With exception of the Clearwater tournament, we will have one play by play announcer for the 2023 softball season. We'll make an announcement on that, probably tomorrow.

I know Babb has not had on field duties in a few years. What is his title now?
